I am trying to learn Spanish again (after forgetting almost everything from HS 4 years later).

I need to buy a grammar book. What can you recommend for me? What do you think is best grammar book out there?

PS. I know about livemocha, rosettastone… etc. I want to find a good book for Spanish Grammar.

My language tutor told me the other day that my grammar is Spanish is better than in French, my native language. Does that mean I write better in Spanish then in French? As well as speaking?

I think it’s because we always take our native languages for granted. Plus we learn grammar in our native language at such an early age that it’s easy to forget the picky details in everyday conversation. Whereas when learning language, so much emphasis is put on grammar. And that’s what we concentrate on when speaking and writing to make sure we have it write. At least that’s what I think. I actually learning about English grammar (my native language) through learning Spanish (second language).

Im doing a presentation for my spanish class on grammar and I need a game to play with the students after i teach the lesson on grammar … thanks !

How about something like 20 questions, you know where you stick a celebrities name to your forehead, and everyone else can see, and they have to ask 20 questions to guess who it is. But instead, use Spanish phrases and grammar etc…

I was thinking of making some videos explaining the key elements such as conjugation and helpful tips as to learning the Spanish language in my spare time. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in that kind of thing.

Why dont you become a spanish tutor? Get paid like 20$/hour!! Put up posters near local highschools or watever…

remember that you never conjugate a verb if it is used directly after the preposition "para."

I am looking for a good advanced level Spanish student book. It is not necessary to include a vocabulary section. I need good explanations of language uses and some related examples and exercises. Maybe something like the Longman Grammar and Vocabulary for Cambridge Advanced and Proficiency but in Spanish of course.

I would suggest puntos de partida 8 becuase it is a begginer college level textbook and they give wonder explanations on grammer. and you can go online to their site and practice listning comprehension. If you do not want to spend alot of money try looking for it used online
